Didasko Children’s Home stands as a beacon of hope for orphaned, abused, abandoned, and impoverished children in Honduras. Located 20 miles outside the capital city of Tegucigalpa, it is under the compassionate leadership of Hondurans Jorge and Rosa Castillo. Devout Christians, the Castillos saturate the home with love and daily Christian teachings, nurturing the children's hearts and minds.
At Didasko, education is paramount. The children attend local schools through their high school, with an education that often includes skills for a trade or other employment. With a current population of 30 to 35 children, ranging from ages 4 to 20, Didasko relies solely on the generosity of a handful of US churches for support, receiving no funding from the Honduran government. Despite financial challenges, Didasko perseveres, offering a safe haven and brighter future for Honduras' most vulnerable youth.
